Springwoodbank B&B

A family run bed & breakfast

About us...

A warm welcome awaits you at Springwoodbank Bed and Breakfast.

About your hosts...

We extend our hospitality and friendship and look forward to welcoming you to the comfort of our home. Our house is situated at the top of the town. A pleasant and very picturesque ten minute walk downhill will take you into the heart of Kelso. Stop first at the Millennium View for a breathtaking panorama of Kelso town, Floors Castle & Estate and the magnificent River Tweed. Kelso is a beautiful market town with rumbling cobblestone roads, pretty boutiques, plenty of cafes and places to eat, and local pubs.

Our home has been a successful B&B for a number of years. We don’t shout about it, we simply offer a warm and homely atmosphere where privacy is respected and friendships are shared.

Scott and I moved to the Scottish Borders from Glasgow almost 12 years ago.
We have come to enjoy and appreciate the slower pace of life, the wonderful community spirit and the marvellous landscapes.

As the Head Teacher of a local Secondary School, Scott is always on hand to fill you in on the details and stories of Scottish history. I, myself have worked part time in education and have travelled to schools all over the Borders, which has enriched my experience and knowledge of the local areas and become familiar with local customs and traditions, of which there are many!

Scott is also an avid sports enthusiast and often spends long summer days cycling for miles around our beautiful countryside. I prefer to wander around the market towns and visiting the many stately homes and gardens.

Whatever the purpose of your visit to Kelso, we look forward to meeting you and ensuring you have a wonderful stay with us.

A short 10 minute walk (downhill) will take you into Kelso Square. It's a picturesque walk and we recommend stopping for a minute to enjoy the panoramic view that the ``Millennium View`` offers; from here you can see Kelso town, Floors Castle & Estate and the River Tweed.
